Introducing our New Musical Director

We are delighted to announce that our interim Musical Director and long term choir member Mr Ian Packham has decided to become our full time Musical Director. The choir are really delighted that Ian has decided he can take on the role and are looking forward to him putting his stamp, personality and musicality on our future performances. We wish him well as we hope you do too!

Ian Packham showed a passion for music very early in life. He has played instruments and been singing since he was 6 years old. Having decided that a career in music might be more difficult he became first a primary school teacher and then moved on to the quite life in his current position as a school Principal! At the same time and for the past 8 years Ian has been working in the position as Lecturer in Music Education in the Church of Ireland College of Education in Rathmines, Dublin. He currently has 3 choirs that he is working with , including children from school and a choir of students in the college. He has always loved being a singing member in Glória and happy to lend a conducting hand when needed.  He also loves chocolate and salt and vinegar crisps.
